💭 Next Gen’s new series aims to improve teen mental health. Next Gen director and educational psychologist Dr. Rachel Sytsma-Reed designed the new Human[kind] Cinema Series in partnership with local educators to support social and emotional learning competencies. Last Friday, 500+ students experienced “The Book Thief” inside the Center’s Theater. Teachers left with materials and prompts to foster open discussions and work toward a more supportive school environment. This program, and all other Next Gen events, are free to local schools and homeschool families thanks to generous support.
